From December 2011 to August 2012, former Supreme Court Judge, the Hon. Peter Blaxell, conducted a special inquiry under section 24H of the Public Sector Management Act 1994. The inquiry examined the conduct and response of relevant public officials and government agencies in relation to allegations of sexual abuse at St Andrew's Hostel in Katanning, and related organisation
Redfish Technologies completed a three month engagement of providing specialised Audio Visual and IT technical assistance to the St Andrews Hostel Special Inquiry, managed by the Western Australian Public Sector Commission. This inquiry was held in Perth and Katanning in Western Australia.
The special inquiry headed by Hon. Peter Blaxell, the former Perth Supreme Court Judge then provided a report for the special inquiry into the conduct and response of relevant public officials and government agencies in relation to allegations of sexual abuse at St Andrew's Hostel in Katanning.
Redfish was engaged during the inquiry public submissions and hearings stage to maintain and support the digital recording systems, evidence presentation, video conferencing solutions and press gallery audio visual feeds. Redfish also supplied the portable evidence recording systems for the team of special investigators to undertake the task of evidence gathering from the large number of public submissions. Additional tasks were also requested to provide complete audio visual services, including recording and monitoring on the two occasions where the enquiry sat at the Katanning Court House for public hearings.
