Provide a portable hearing room solution that was transportable around the country for remote hearing from Sydney. The solution had to provide the same functionally as that in the main commission hearing rooms, providing full audio and visual elements including web-casting and a full eCourt setup for evidence presentation including evidence management.

The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse is investigating how institutions like schools, churches, sports clubs and government organisations have responded to allegations and instances of child sexual abuse. It is the job of the Royal Commission to uncover where systems have failed to protect children so it can make recommendations on how to improve laws, policies and practices.
Redfish were engaged to provision a number of core AV elements to integrate into the portable hearing rig for offsite hearings. All systems were to be placed into robust transportable cases for easy movement around the country.
The rig was to reuse existing key items taken form the hearing rooms refit and then build a solution that provided a similar set-up to the main hearing rooms. This was to include:
Audio systems to support all members appearing
Audio outlets for media, steno operators and digital recording
Voice lift for each room
Web casting integration and support
Portable hearing loop
Integration into the new AMX control system
Integration into evidence presentation system
Some Technology was re-purposed from the main commission rooms
2 x Bimap Audia, using Cobarnet and various end point devices for media feeds etc.
Implemented RevoLabs Elite systems 16 mics for wireless microphone within the room. First time use within Australia for using wireless microphone in the courtroom.
