Provide a portable Recording System for the Papua New Guinea Public Accounts Committee via AusAid. The solution had to support audio and video recording and be in a configuration that it could be used in the main committee room or be portable for off site use.
PNG PAC Recording System
The PNG Public account committee is one of the permanent parliamentary committees of the National parliament of Papua New Guinea. The committee is a bipartisan committee with 14 members and a chair coming from the government. The committee plays a key oversight role on the behalf of the parliament and is fundamental to good governance in PNG.
Redfish Technologies was recently engaged via AusAID to provide a complete portable recording systems for the (PNG), Public Accounts Committee (PAC) that is located in the parliament building.
The solution provided was a complete recording system, including microphones, laptop, camera and all meads and cables plus the dedicated recording software. The system was provided in two custom fitted transport cases, so the recording system can be easily moved or positioned for off site meetings. Additionally a transcription workstation was also setup to allow the transcription of the recordings within the PAC.
Redfish undertook training on site with PAC staff were led through a series of activities assembling, operating and dismantling the new equipment in a variety of scenarios. The team quickly became familiar with the technology and by the end of the sessions were independently managing all aspects.
The system was funded by AusAID through the Economic & Public Sector Program managed by Coffey International.
